What we use cookies for
We use cookies and similar technologies for three reasons:
- Essential — keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, securing the session. The Service does not work without these.
- Functional — storing settings like clip-length defaults and locale preference.
- Analytics (only with consent in EU/UK) — understanding aggregate usage to improve the product. No advertising or cross-site tracking.
Cookies we set directly
| te.session | Authentication session token (essential) |
|---|---|
| te.locale | Language preference (functional) |
| te.record.* | Recording widget settings — clip length, last pair (functional) |
Third-party cookies
We rely on a small number of trusted services that may set their own cookies:
- Supabase — auth state and database session
- Stripe — fraud prevention on checkout pages only
- Google — anonymized analytics (only with consent)
Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party only, or clear specific cookies. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and may break parts of the Service.
For analytics specifically, EU/UK users can opt out via the consent banner on first visit, or by clearing the te.consent cookie to be re-prompted.
Updates
If our cookie usage changes meaningfully, this page will be updated and the date below will reflect the change.
